Unfortunately, the solar industry is not exempt from the impact of the virus, and so it’s important that we’re all aware of the resources available to alleviate the pressures associated with COVID-19. NYSEIA is working to assist solar industry members and has launched a COVID-19 updates page on its website. This page, available here, covers topics including:

NYSEIA Template Letter For Permitting
NYSEIA is also offering a template letter for members to address towns in which they have projects. This template, which you can download here, is intended to advocate for:
Remote Permit Processing
Remote Public Meetings
Post-Installation Permitting Checks
Additionally, you can also request that NYSEIA directly reach out to the town, or towns, in which you have active projects. For NYSEIA to do this, send an email with contact information for the town, or towns, in question.
NYSEIA & SEIA Member Survey
In order to best respond to the industry impact of COVID-19, NYSEIA & SEIA are seeking responses to a new survey. This survey allows members to detail their experiences with COVID-19, providing NYSEIA & SEIA with beneficial information. This information will assist NYSEIA & SEIA as they work with state and federal policymakers who are developing COVID-19 responses & legislation. You can access the survey at this link and add your own contribution.
