A second window of enrollment is upcoming for the Rhode Island Renewable Energy Growth Program. This second window is for Solar (25 kW or greater), Wind, Hydro, Anaerobic Digestion, and Community Remote Distributed Generation. The enrollment window is open from 9am EPT on July 13, 2020, to 5pm EPT on July 24, 2020.

As of the window of enrollment opening on July 13, an online web application portal will be available for electronic submissions. You will be able to locate this application portal by visiting the RE Growth webpage (click here) and navigating to the ‘Submission of Bids’ section. During this open enrollment period (July 13 to July 24), applicants are required to use this online service to submit their applications. Once the online application is completed, applicants will receive confirmation of their submission and details of their application.

For 2020, a new solar carport incentive program has also been approved. The program is operating on a one-year pilot basis. The Solar Carport Capacity Target Nameplate (kW DC) comes with an approved adder of 6 cents per kWh and will be available for enrollment throughout all three open enrollment periods in 2020. Go to the RE Growth webpage (click here) for further information about the solar carport incentive program, including details of a sample case for a solar carport project.
